When we launched the new site, we introduced user comments, which isn’t too prominent but it’s there. You can give your two cents about any places reviewed.

Over the weekend, we launched the new OTI! It offers a lot more information and functionality. Go ahead and check it out!
- The homepage shows that 7 most recent recommendations, no matter who is recommending.
- There is an excerpt, category and neighborhood visible on the front page for each recommendation.
- We added a summary for each personality.
- You can comment on a recommendation, or send to a friend
- Better search and filtering options
- All images are credited
- Maps!
- and a better user interface.
New personalities will now go up on Tuesday’s.

We started our newsletter service last week. Each week, we’ll send out an email to inform subscribers who is our personality of the week and what they are recommending.

You can now subscribe to our audio podcast via Itunes. The podcasts consist of snippets of conversations with our featured personalities. New episodes are automatically downloaded to your I-tunes, so you can spend a few casual minutes with our New Yorkers each week.
We already have Gretchen Mol and Melissa Plaut in our opening 2 podcasts.

Here is our first podcast, with the wonderful Gretchen Mol.
The podcast consists of snippets of casual conversation. Gretchen chats about her return to NY after a year-and-a-half hiatus, getting re-acquainted with her favorite neighborhood, and her first-ever job in the city.
We’re looking to make more of these since we are recording all these great interviews. I haven’t published it on ITunes yet, but soon.
Larissa stopped by to drop off some audio files at the office today. She’s been writing, interviewing and producing for us (great profiles such Amy Sedaris, David Wain and Gretchen Mol). She’s got a few more surprises up her sleeve too (eventhough she’s not wearing sleeves today)!
